Xiaojin and her sister, a breast cancer patient at 34, have counted Cancer a "blessing," as it has given them the opportunity to reach out to their fellow Chinese and tell them about Christ.  In her own words:

My sister's family and my parents are living in China.  During my trip to China last Christmas visiting my sister, we met many cancer patients in the hospital, most of them never heard about Gospel of Jesus Christ.  They couldn't find hope and joy in their life.  God provided us a great opportunity to share gospel to those patients.  Some of them accepted Jesus as their savior immediately.  We thought if my sister didn’t get cancer, we probably would have no chance to get touched with those people and would never share Jesus with them.  God uses us in all kinds of situations.

I almost check ChristiansWithCancer.org every day.  Since the China government blocked all the ".org" sites recently, my sister couldn't access your website at this time.  But I called her every day and shared with her the encouragements I got from your site.  We are very blessed by the website and we pray God to use this site to benefit more and more people.

Providing Hope in an Uncertain World

Christians with Cancer is a non-profit ministry founded by Christian businessman Hal Wilson after he was diagnosed with metastasized, incurable Kidney Cancer in 2006.  He came to appreciate the many needs of the cancer patient that weren't being addressed, and, after praying about it, he felt led to start this ministry.

So, who can benefit from the Christians with Cancer web site?  Anyone.  You don’t have to have cancer – it may be a family member or a friend who's afflicted, or perhaps you simply want to get more information about the disease, discover ways to help others better, or learn more about divine healing.

It's our hope that you will find the encouragement, support and wisdom here to help you walk through cancer – and any other aspects of life – with faith, love, grace and hope.

So, you ask, why was Christians with Cancer created?  Here's our answer:

  •  To inspire our readers to develop a richer relationship with God
  •  To provide an outlet for prayer requests
  •  To provide community and support
  •  To offer inspiration and faith-building tools, good news and encouraging testimonies
  •  To offer treatment information and breakthroughs, as well as practical suggestions for those battling Cancer.
  •  To provide direction for people seeking a deeper meaning to life.
